- Is CVMatch free?
- Yes — you can create a free CVMatch account and get 3 CV optimisations included, with no credit card required. - Does CVMatch require signup?
- Yes. You need a free CVMatch account to use the optimisation tool. Sign-up takes under a minute with an email address — no credit card is asked for. An account lets us save your optimisations so you can return to them, track your remaining credits, and delete results from your dashboard whenever you choose.
- How does the CV match score work?
- The match score is a 0–100 figure showing how closely your CV aligns with the keywords, skills and requirements in a specific job description. CVMatch compares the language in both documents and gives more weight to required skills. A higher score means your CV uses more of the wording the employer asked for.
- Is my CV data private?
- Your CV is stored inside your private CVMatch account so you can return to it, and you can delete any saved optimisation from your dashboard at any time. CVMatch does not sell your CV data. Processing happens through Anthropic (Claude) via a secure backend; Anthropic does not use your data to train its models.
- Does CVMatch guarantee interviews?
- No. CVMatch improves how closely your CV matches a specific job description and helps it pass applicant tracking systems, which improves your chances of being shortlisted. No CV tool — including CVMatch — can guarantee an interview or job offer. Interview outcomes also depend on your experience, the role, the market and the recruiter.
- Can I delete saved optimisations?
- Yes. Every optimisation you run is saved to your dashboard so you can review or reuse it, and you can delete individual results at any time. If you want to remove everything, you can delete your CVMatch account from settings, which permanently removes your CVs, optimisations and personal data from our systems.
- Does CVMatch work for UK job applications?
- Yes — CVMatch is built specifically for the UK job market. Output uses British English spelling and follows UK CV conventions: typically two pages, a short personal statement, education listed after experience for experienced candidates, and no photo. It works with any UK job board, including Reed, Indeed, LinkedIn, Totaljobs and CV-Library.
